It Could Happen To You |
Description: | A medium swing arrangement for female vocalist. An intro with some self-quotations, sets the vocalist off in verses with stop time exchanges with the band. A piano solo ensues, followed by a unison sax chorus that in its turn hands over to a unison brass chorus where the saxes join in after a while. The ensemble split voicings in a shout that brings back the piano solo, after which the vocalist returns and ends the piece. Due to some some stop time passages and one “meter issue” near the end of the piece, this arrangement is not very suitable as a dance chart. Notated key Eb. |
