| Description: | A fast swing duet with lyrics by Daniel Eng for a male and a female vocalist, this piece starts with a rubato intro where the piano backs up the singers which ends with a handover to a sax and drum pickup in the original tempo. Then follow two solo choruses, that end with the drums and the sax closing the solo similarly to the pickup. A brief muted brass ensemble ensues, that leads to a sax chorus where the brass subsequently returns unmuted for a short shout, which ends abruptly when the vocalists come in for a short rubato and then directly take on the main theme in tempo again. Some wind backgrounds follows, whereafter the vocalists end the song together with a couple of winds in a quieting outro with some closing vocalise and wind comments. Notated key: Mainly F, with the intro in G and the ensemble chorus in Bb. |
