| Description: | A fast swing for a female vocalist, with lyrics by Daniel Eng, this piece starts with short passage of muted brass and tremoloing saxes, sending the vocalist off into the theme with some muted wind backgrounds. After that comes an intro-like part to give the soloist a nice pick-up into a repeated solo chorus, where the rest of the band provide backgrounds the second time. The solo ends in a short interlude, setting off a sax chorus that goes into an ensemble and shout chorus; all ending in an intro-like interlude that in a similar way sets the vocalist off in the last wind-backgrounded theme – this time with a slightly altered lyrics. The piece then ends similarly to the intro, but with some added sax section fills. Notated key F. |
