| Description: | A Big Band poem in (mostly) 3/4 meter for female vocalist with Swedish lyrics by Daniel Eng. This piece starts with dual soprano saxes swirling softly, with the rest of the wind instruments joining in for some large contrasts in dynamics. The piano then picks up and hands over to the vocalist for the first vocal part. The vocalist subsequently leaves over to a slightly chaotic solo pickup, where both the drums and the piano are soloing simultaneously, which after a while leaves the piano as the only soloist, before handing over to a sax-instigated interlude. The interlude transforms to a variation of the intro, with large dynamic contrasts and a variation on the piano pick-up, before the vocalist comes back with a second vocal part. The piece ends with some fanfare-like signals and intro-like variations. Notated key: C |
