A medium slow swing with a somewhat undefined modality, this piece starts with a horror-movie like intro, with some of the winds only blowing air through their horns and the drums rolling ominously on the snare. The theme is then presented twice in the low saxes, followed by a reduced sax ensemble chorus that hands over to the first soloist. A short ensemble part follows, which in its turn hands over to the second soloist, whose solo ends in an interlude with some hihat tapping and the wind instruments entering successively. The interlude ends in a very short, but intense shout, whereafter a recap on the intro opens up for the theme in the saxes again. The last theme is begun by the brass, but ends with the saxes finalising the presentation; handing over to an outro with a strong resemblance of the intro. The piece ends with a gust of wind through some of the band’s horns. The trumpets alternate on Flügelhorns. Notated key: Gm.
