Producing a concert

After a meeting today with the producer for Etnografiska muséet in Stockholm, there is a preliminary date set for the premiering of the completely new concert program “Yokai”. A concert entirely with my music and my lyrics, composed for big band and two vocalists – a female and a male – that concerns the supernatural’s dependency of life and the living, and what can make reality break down and be percieved as surreal and ghostly. The music and the lyrics are a synthesis between Japanese and Western cultural influences, and are based equally in Japanese traditions as the Western dittos. Keep a watch here, and the date will be published early in September.
Other than that, the Summer Sale is in its last throes. Until August the 31:st, all charts in the web shop are reduced with 30% on all compositions, and 25% on all arrangements. Take the opportunity to buy great sounding and stimulating to play charts at reduced prices, to give your band something fresh to start the autumn rehearsals, and entertain your audiences with later.
Here in Sweden, summer has taken on a new start, with a period of warmer weather and a really nice handing-over to the colder forecast of this upcoming weekend. I will be conducting Huddinge Big Band featuring Josephine Skoglund at Skönviksparken in Rönninge this Saturday, and as it is an outdoors event (with free admission), I hope that the weather gods will provide some decent conditions, if not as nice as they are today. See this link for more information: Salemsdagen 2026. Very welcome!
I wish all of you visiting here, a really nice and happy August ending!
