Delayed work

According to the plan, my latest chart should have been finished, edited and published long ago, but as it happened work in the form of playing, conducting and performing got in the way. Not that that is bad in itself, but I’m always struggling with all the necessities that consume time; constantly juggling my twenty-four hours so they will be sufficient for everything that I want to do and everything I have to do.
Now the composing of the piece “White Mouse Blues” – an eleven bar texas-rock blues for a female vocalist in 7/4 meter for the “Yokai” program – is well under way. With the onset of autumn and the transition to daylight saving time combined with nagging hints of a cold coming on, I have to do what I can to make the conditions the best possible for creative work. For me, a large cup of coffee, a lit candle and the calm of the city on Halloween-break goes a long way!
I wish all of you visiting here a really nice October ending and November start, and a Happy Halloween!
