Now when we in Sweden <em>at last<\/em> have some real Winter, with a prolonged period of cold weather and a durable snow cover over fields and forests, I also enjoy a couple of continuous days of cross country skiing; which I haven&#8217;t done in many, many years&#8230;..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">So this week for me, I now start the days with a couple of kilometers (a couple of miles) on skis before breakfast, composing and practising. I am by no means a skilled or trained skier, but I have longed for the serenity and peace of cross country skiing, with the swooshing from the skis against the snow, and the chirping of the poles with every push.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:15px\">As always, I have a new composition under way, and I now work on the planned last regular song of the &#8220;Yokai&#8221; concert program; a composition for a male vocalist titled &#8220;Gathering Cress by the Waterside&#8221;.
